Victoria Bradford is a MFA Candidate in Performance at SAIC. Her work often deals with specific forms of measurement and documentation, and this particular durational piece dances the line between the aesthetic and the exposed.
This incarnation of Marking Time is a fragment, or chapter, of material drawn in part from Victoria’s nebulous web archive A House Unbuilt.
Past Show (April 23rd)

Past Show (April 16th)
In this installation, I’ve arranged a set of papier-mâché objects with a painted gloss finish to interact with a five-sided acrylic box. The installation changes depending on its setting because the objects suggest an exploration of their immediate surroundings. Each object functions independently, but is dependant on the others to create a narrative that has no sequence or resolution. Among Friends represents a range of thoughts and emotions I associate with placement/displacement and interior/exterior spaces, and questions the nature of origin and arrival.
