These Little Elements Aren’t Very Sinister: The Work of Drew Noble

Past Show (March 11th)

“The more I tell the viewer about my internal storyline and process the less I’ve said about my paintings. Though it may not seem like it at first approach, there is no way in to my work. Initially, it promises a clear idea or a happy ending but it breaks its own promise. I only paint neutral ideas that I have no loyalties to.”

Drew Noble is a Chicago painter who currently attends The School of the Art Institute. She will graduate in 2011. Her work explores mark-making with a variety of intents.
